There are reasons they put a tread pattern into the tire. One is so water can channel away from the contact area with the road. I think that if you really push your tire to the limit in the rain it will break loose. (Your front drivers side tire likley has a far reduced limit.) This may occur at a time when you really need it to perfom. If you can avoid driving on wet roads, and/or drive very slowly in the rain you may get away with waiting a few months. You may also wrap you car around a tree.
