As the saying goes... opinions are like a--holes, everyone has one and everyone's opinion of a car's reliability is colored by their own ownership experience or that of people they know. As for my own experience with SAABs so far they have been positive (and I own three). The same would be true for Volvo (I also own three). The same would NOT be true for Ford, Nissan, Chrysler, or Mitsubishi... all of which I would never own again because of poor ownership experiences. People I know have had positive onwership experiences with Hondas and Toyota's and I've had a fairly neutral experience with a Hyundai (that's to say 'd consider purchasing another). I would also never consider buying a BMW because of very poor reliablity and quality experiences of several friends and relatives. I would always recommend consideration of a SAAB or Volvo to anyone I know...
