Maybe because this is the most recent, and because of the events that followed, but this is the one I shoulda kept.

It had been in the family since new, when my Sister bought it. I picked it up from her in 2005, with about 275,000 miles on it. I drove it until April of last year.

The reason I got rid of it was nasty rust that I thought would be too costly to repair. In hindsight, I could have kept it, fixed the rust, and still be ahead of where I am with the car that replaced it...

This car was no gem, by any means. Faded paint, bad resprays, a nagging CEL that I couldn't figure out, but it was a Saab, and it was part of the family...

Runners up are:

First Runner Up: my 1984 900 turbo. White, 8valve, 5-speed. Had it for 4 years, when a brand new 1991 900 turbo caught my eye...

Second Runner up: My first Saab, a 1976 99 GL. AS I get older, I appreciate the 99 more. Not that I don't like my 9-5, but it's a different feeling with the older, simpler car. Besides, 99s are a BLAST to drive...
