This site is an absolute cross section of all varities of Saab owners and economic strata. Some are thrilled by being able to buy a used Saab at a very low price and then only because they do all the work on it they can with the help of Saab Net !
The other end of that spectrum is those who's finances are large enough to be a new Saab buyer. You mentioned a limit on the lease at $600 per month. That amounts to $7200 per year and probably for many more than they spent on their used Saabs and repairs in 5 years. The new car buyer frankly are the people that are going to determine Saab's future because they are the only ones that signifigantly put their money into Saab's bank account.
Your having to leave Saab points out the absolute neccesity of getting new models on line and in the showroom without delay. It also points out the issues of a world press and market where the models and prices are not the same in each country. Trying to extract pricing based on what another country charges is difficult. I do not believe there are any MSRP for US Saab 9-5, only the 9-3 model at this point.
We can't afford to loose existing new car customers who already on Saabs.
