Agreed. Anything under 6.0 is pure entertainment. Northridge was a major production, though.

Odd feeling at dawn throwing bricks off the roof of my girlfriend's house from her collapsed chimney.

The wierd thing about the quake was the panic it engendered in some people, including my girlfriend who became nonfunctional for the entire day. As I was driving to her house on I-405 north, I had two cars drive past me going south in the northbound lanes at high speed with crazed looks on their faces. Probably going to LAX for the first flight out of town. I figured right then that it's not the quake that gets you -- it's the reaction of people to events that'll put you in danger.
