I think it's obvious Saab can't get into a technology/gizmo/horsepower war with the Germans and expect to win. While Spyker does compete in a competitive segment I'm not sure that's the way to go with Saab. As I was thinking about this the one thing that occurred to me was number of people who seem to like Saabs "just the way they are." I'm constantly amazed at the number of Saabs you see here in Aspen (and other pockets around the country), in spite of the fact closest dealer is probably Denver, GM has spent nothing to promote the brand or advertise, and they have constantly cheapened thighs like the interior, etc. Maybe the key is to keep doing what they've been doing, do it better, make the styling more distinctive, make the cars better and more reliable and add new technology. There's a domographic that seems pretty loyal to Saab and they just need to find a way to appeal to more similar people.
