I know exactly where you're coming from - highly frustrating - however, these days people shoot off a message and expect an instant answer because the message itself is instant. I get this all the time in my work, they think I'm sitting at a keyboard, digits poised in keen anticipation of their vital communication, while instead I'm in another country (France just now) halfway up a ladder, fixing stuff for one of my victims (clients).

I don't advocate a return to quill pens and messages carried by a runner with a cleft stick!

Hope he gets back to you very soon and your worries prove groundless.

By the way, I have the HTC Legend, which is by far the best phone I have ever owned - Android, complete with 5 megapixel camera. Brilliant email, I seldom open my laptop until the evening now.
