All those misconceived notions are reflective of mistakes that people make in modeling/conceptualizing the real world; rather similar to bad debts taken out presuming an idealized but unrealistic projection into the future. People make mistakes, and that's very natural. In a world without Keynsianism, these mistakes can be corrected relatively quickly as running out of money and bankruptcy force people to take a more realistic view life and improve their models. Would be borrowers would be more sober, and would-be lenders would be far more cautious. Keynesianism OTOH helps keep bad debt going and keep unsustainable government programs funded. That's how we get decades-long depressions like the 1930's-40's, and Japan 1990's-2000's. The bad debts and bad policies were/are artificially protected and funded when they should have been cleaned up.
After a few small cycles of Keynesian "rescues," (like the Greenspan saving the world magainze cover in 1998 LTCM bailout), people become bolder and bolder in taking undue risks and the society's operating model becomes more and more out of wack with reality. That's how we today get entire generations of people who are conditioned to believe in god-like governments that can do anything at no cost, left, right and even among some who intellectually can recognize the perils of big government.
