I've used Macs for 20 years, both business and personal use. Typically 8-10 hours a day (Word, Excel, PowerPoint/Keynote, Photoshop, InDesign, Final Cut). Over 9 computers, I've had the Macs repaired three times, and one of those was because I dropped the poor thing onto pavement.
PCs work fine (MS finally got the OS right!) are more customizable and have some nice capabilities, but Macs are a generally better user experience. IMHO, you can just do more, more easily. I'm self-employed, depend heavily on the computers, and am not an IT guy, so I appreciate that Macs just work, as I don't have time to fiddle with technology.
They do cost more. But when you compare equal specs --speed, video drivers, RAM, drive size, etc., the difference is not all that great. Then add in durability and the stability/reliability of the OS and the hardware, and it floats my boat.
