Let's see: Here we have a one-liner assessment without any other financial data. I believe Spyker is privately held or closely held, so no annual reports or other financial filings. If statement is accurate, Spyker would not be first company with high debt ratio. And we don't know how assets are accounted for (e.g. transfer from GM), so maybe can't conclude much there.
Key argument is probably that GM would not likely have concluded a deal with a company that did not have adequate financials -- would have been part of due diligence review.
I think Spyker has some risk, as I've noted on this site previously, mostly related to product acceptance and sales volume. But the kind of information posted here seems meaningless in the absence of more detailed financial data. In that sense, irrelevant and unhelpful.
