However, Winnipeg is a UPS port of entry. I don't know whether self clear will be available in all cities.
When I have the tracking number I call UPS and request self clear for that shipment. The shipment goes to the local UPS warehouse. They prepare the customs paperwork and call me. I go to the warehouse, pick up the paperwork, drive one block to the Canada Customs office, and pay applicable taxes/duties there. They stamp the paperwork and I take it back to the UPS warehouse where they release the package to me.
If you are ordering from eeuroparts and the shipment is under $200 in value, UPS will clear it for you and deliver it to your door for about $10 brokerage charge. As soon as you're over $200 it goes to about $45. Plus taxes and duties of course.
Another advantage of self clear is that it can knock a couple days off your delivery time.
Why not call UPS and ask them if self clear is available in your city and how you would do it?
