We have an '03 9-5 Aero sedan and an '06 Accord EX with leather, 4 cylinder. Both are stick shifts.
The 9-5 is obviously better equipped, more powerful, handles better, etc. All things you'd expect given the $10k+ price difference.
But the Accord is a really nice car. The 4 cylinder w/stick combo makes for a downright fun car to drive. It doesn't accelerate or hold the road as well as the 9-5, but the throttle response is great, the acceleration is plenty adequate, and the steering is quite good. It's a nimble car. The shifter is better than the Saab's. The Saab has more sporty seats but both cars do quite fine on long trips. The Accord's interior (ours is black on black) is nice.
FWIW we drove a lot of Accords with automatics while shopping, those things just suck the life out of the car. My wife and I agree that waiting for a manual to become available was worth the wait.
