Driving a Saab around DC, I've had a number of people (coworkers and friends) ask whether the company was still around. One guy was adamant that the Dutch deal had fallen through and that I was mistaken that ANOTHER Dutch company had bought them. Saab has been advertising in the Mid-Atlantic area in the Washington Post and also Economist and New York magazine but possibly with little benefit. Haven't been to either of the Saab dealerships in our area lately but assume they have new 9-5's. I haven't seen any of them out on the roads around here. This is sad for me since I need to replace my old 9-3 in the next couple years and wanted to replace it with the (eventually to be released) 9-3. If people can't get it up for the sweet new 9-5, what incentive does Saab have to keep up the brand here in the US?
