So my Saab just hit the 20k mile mark since I've had it. A big milestone, considering I've only had it ten months. It's been a wild ride and I've enjoyed every second of it! Here's some things that have happened so far:
Got it Apr 13 at 77,6XX miles - Hit 97,6XX Feb 25.
A lot of highway miles!
Went from San Diego to Tacoma Washington. Driving 90+ practically the whole time!
On the way back though I got my wake up call.... 1 ticket in Washington, and a second the same day right when I got back into Ca.
A month later I went to Phoenix AZ for the 4th of July....almost got another ticket from a bs speedtrap.
Many trips to L.A. for some rad Heavy Metal shows - Iron Maiden - Scorpions and more!
I even went up to San Bernadino to check out a Viggen convertible, but was amazed that my 9-3 drove much better. I learned how big a difference proper maintenence can make in performance.
A month ago I got into my first fender bender. While driving with a high fever, I barely clipped my front bumper with the rear bumper of a honda civic. The civic only got a little scratch, but my front bumper almost fell off. Drove around in a 2010 Accord for a week and was ecstatic to finally get my 9-3 back better then ever.
The only negative is that I just found out I was screwed by the dealer I bought the car from.....We had 7k set for the car and worked it all out, When I call the bank the other day to see what I owe, I find out I was financed 5k more then we ever talked about. That sets me back a bit, and puts me paying way more than the cars worth.
Other than that the cars given me no problems other than the transmission mount breaking and regular maintenence which is just lovely!
All in all though I wouldn't trade my car for anything. It's so fun to drive even driving the speed limit now because gas iis so damn expensive. I hope to drive it to its death in many years and then go on to buy a 9-5.
I'm thankful I found this board to help me out with my problems and to keep up with all the news with Saab and their recovery. I hope to be here many more years and soon be able to help other people with their issues. Long live Saab!!!
