(Reuters) - Russian businessman Vladimir Antonov said on Wednesday he has applied to Sweden to become a shareholder in car maker Saab, a move which could boost the finances of the ailing auto group.
"He has said investigations have cleared his name and that GM is now ready to let him back as a shareholder.
Antonov also has to speak with Sweden, which guaranteed a 400 million euro EIB loan to Saab. (Reporting by Patrick Lannin)"
