We seem to get more concerned about radiation than is justified by the real danger.
I'm no expert, but my experience may help.
I used to X-ray aircraft for routine maintenance for the Air Guard, looking for cracks and water entrapment. We were allowed an exposure of 2 milliroentgens (mR) per hour, although with shielding we built, distance and duration of the X-rays we never came close to that level.
I had a need for a heart stress test, a thallium EKG. They injected radioactive thallium into me for the test. When I got back to the shop, we pulled out the radiation meter and checked to see what I was emitting--I pegged the meter at 300 mR. Same thing the next day. It was 2 weeks before I no longer registered. This medical test was considered to be safe.
I don't know what the energy level of the thallium was, but cell signals are not far from the portion of the spectrum at which your microwave oven operates--do you worry about that?
