Anything new will more or less have the same input/outputs on it, with the possible exception of a D-sub video input. There are also a number of additional features that are available that you may not need. Netflix/Hulu/Google TV/Wireless, etc. are all available on a TV now, those options it sounds like you don't need.
Also something to consider you might want to look into a large monitor rather than a tv (no TV tuner in a monitor) the monitor should typically be less expensive.
newegg.com has a section for large format monitors, which does contain some actual large monitors (no tv tuner), though there are also tvs in there as well.
Pay close attention to the native resolution of the Monitor/TV as if you attempt to run it in any resolution but native, picture quality will be degraded. A 50" monitor with a resolution of 1366 x 768 will present a much different experience than a 50" monitor with 1920 X 1080
