New '12 9-5 SC - weak performance numbers concerns?

Hi everyone,
I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new '12 9-5 Aero SC to replace my '03 9-5 Aero wagon. I just read on the Hirsch website about their upgrade to the 220hp engine, bringing it up to 260hp. On their site it shows the 6 speed auto 9-5 2.0T XWD sedan has 0-60 of 8.8 secs, approximately. That is the slowest Saab in a very long time. Even with the Hirsch upgrade, it only drops to 7.9 seconds. That means the wagon will be 9ish.
That's not competitive with any other Euro-wagon out there for US buyers, except for the Jetta TDI (and that's a diesel). My current '03 9-5 Aero does 6.9 to 60 with no extra tuning needed. It's going to be very difficult to drop down to a significantly slower car.
I really want this car to do well...and I want to be a happy owner of one. But I have a horrible feeling that it is going to feel like a slug.
