The old ones were also peel-and-stick with pins.
Apply heat to the area of the emblem. Use a heat gun, or, if you're indoors, a good hair dryer might work, but not as fast. This loosens the adhesive and lets you do a LOT less prying. Try dental floss or fine fishing monofilament line to get under the emblem, break the adhesive bond, and lift the emblem off. I've also used a small screwdriver with a credit card or the like to protect the paint at the fulcrum point.
