It was originally saved in Cakewalk Pro Audio (a 10+ year old version that is incompatible with any operating system newer than Windows 98). It's actually four separate .wav files that I can import one at a time. All of them start at slightly different times, because the four tracks were originally recorded on an even older Tascam 4 track recorder and imported to computer via the soundcard one track at a time. I was able to sync up the beginning of each track by noting how far off they were from each other and snipping the beginning progressively as I imported them, but they go out of sync a bit (maybe a tenth of a second) later on, and this is where I'm having the problem. Every one of the many tools (cut, split cut, delete, etc.) affects all the tracks, even when I have only one selected. Everything else I can do individually to each track, like change volume, pan, fade in or out. From what you say, what I need to do should be possible. What is the tool called, and is there some trick to make it so that only time from one track gets cut?
