GM announced two disparate bits of news today.

GM sold over 220,000 cars in China during the month of October alone.

GM is blocking the sale of a culled auto brand, one that has only achieved global annual sales exceeding 100,000 cars once in its lifetime, to a partnership of Chinese companies.

Really? GM's leadership is that insecure?

Add to this the fact that all of GM's Chinese sales are achieved through 49% ownership positions in Joint Ventures with a number of Chinese companies, Shanghai Automotive, Wulan, etc., who have had access to GM's technology for years!

C'mon guys and gals. Stop throwing your childish hissy fit and realize you and your predecessors gave away the company's crown jewels of IP to your Chinese competitors years ago.
