A '97 9K with only 73,000? Keep that sucker and spend some money! If you DIY the simple stuff and pay for the CV boot work, you'll barely crack $1,000 out of pocket (not counting the a/c compressor). Change the oil, all fluids, plugs (when you do the DI), put in new filters. You can fix that car up and get a 100K miles out of it with little more than routine service. I'm a tightwad and have two 9Ks with more than twice your mileage. These cars last.

Getting down to it...
Stalling while driving is either fuel or electrical/ignition. First guess (not knowing the symptoms) is the DI. Put in a new or good used DI cassette and fuel filter. Run some Techron through the system. A crankshaft position sensor is a possibility, especially if the car only restarts after cooling down.

The turbo is quite unlikely to be bad. The Garrett T25 is small but durable, and even if it is DOA used ones are readily available and yours may be rebuildable. Much more likely, your low boost could be as simple as a loose wastegate rod, a hose cracked or disconnected or a bad BPC solenoid.

The a/c compressor can be replaced with a used one, or if you have the cash, a rebuilt or new one. Or go without for a while.

CV boots can be a bear to do but once done tend to last a long while. If you pay for it, figure on $300-400 if they pull the axle, do a good job and the CV joint bearings are still OK.

Radiator is about $150 plus a couple gallons of coolant. Takes a couple hours in the driveway. Looks harder than it is. You just have to drain it (messy) and remove other parts. Replace the hoses while you're at it.

Leaking oil pan? Maybe. Tighten the screws/bolts that hold it on, see what happens. All cars leak some oil. On these engines the leak may be from someplace else, like the valve cover or elsewhere and it only appears to be from the pan. Clean the whole engine (Simple Green full strength, a brush and a hose) then track your leaks.

Down the road you'll need to do a heater core and blower motor, and motor mounts, But these cars are very durable, easy to work on, and have an incredible engine that can go the distance.
