The Chinese and other competitors will slowly beat GM in China too. The Chinese adore Buicks for cultural reasons, but when they find out about the GM product, company, and other options, they will begin to move away. Then GM goes under again? In China GM has only about 13% market share with total vehicle sales less than US sales. GM needs to change as a company and so far there is little evidence that it is happening. I suspect the public respects Ford for not taking a bailout and that in the long run Ford will prove more competitive due to its internal pressures to survive.
