not sure how you're measuring? current measurement needs to be made with the meter inserted in series...
anyway, I would go by manufacturers ratings (ie spec) rather than measuring + possibly not accounting for all performance situations (current draw may change depending on conditions). I gather these are wall warts... they are cheap enough, it may be easiest to just get 2. Maybe you won't need to run as much cable either?
You can easily calculate the voltage drops for a given current draw over 50 ft of cat-5 if that's what you're using to run the power.
