...that they may run as a non-Saab dealership, but still provide parts and service if there is a market. In Canada, all Saab parts and service got switched over to GM "last time around"... the existing dealers were all let go, but they survived as best as possible (selling used cars, new suzukis etc)... when new Saabs were available, they picked up where they left off as dealers... unfortunately for many, sales were low... the big one in our broader neck of the woods is Budds + they have multiple brands + will not fold. If Saab goes away + comes back, I'm confident they will be first in line to pick up as a dealership in Canada... imho, other Saab dealerships need to find a way to stabilize themselves like Budds has... but it's not easy to pick up brands (or at least good ones)...
anyway, I found getting parts through the Chevy dealer was great. Almost as good as eeuro with pricing about the same (automatically gave me trade rates)! Once the Saab dealer network was reintroduced, the Chevy dealer could no longer provide parts (at reasonable prices) and I had to resort almost 100% to eeuro because the local parts prices doubled! With a little "discussion", they met me half way, but all I'm saying is getting parts at the Chevy dealer was not nearly as bad as I had anticipated! and as long as eeuro + other site sponsors are going strong, I'll be fine...
