That's fine and dandy when the problem is in those contact plate slide areas.
But if the 9-5 no crank problem would be there, it would be possible to make it crank over by "rowing" the gear shifter back and forth between P and N while at the same time keeping the key in cranking position. That way you have the circuit loaded and any and every little spec of surface contact rubbing against each other would at least make the starter do a hiccup.
Many times when I have had a chance to see the no crank at hot car scenario on the 9-5, I could move the gear shifter back and forth as much as I wanted too without even hearing a tiny attempt from the starter to kick over.
That leads me to believe that the problem lies where the wires are soldered to the circuit board which is embedded in epoxy and not serviceable.
It will be interesting to see when more people have taken the switch apart to clean and see if the no crank problems goes away or comes back when the car is hot again.
