I was mainly curious on what does it do with lubricating. As I get it (in short):
- on pre-restyle design there's no air (and thus no fuel and oil) coming into engine when you do the engine braking. Quite like it goes nowadays;
- on restyle system (with the freewheel incorporated) even with the accelerator pedal fully released and transmission in-gear (and going downhill) the engine is idling just it like does when it's on and you're stationary still - and thus eating oil just like it does when idling e.g. on the red traffic light (although there's obviously less oil coming in comparing to full-throttle condition) - but as a trade-off you loose engine-braking ability.
