not too surprising, the way insurance companies are... this is basically a faq these days on the c900 bb. If the damage is minor/cosmetic, it may be worth it for you to take what you can get from the insurance + fix it independently. There are many used parts available for these cars + especially a door is just a swap if you get the right colour.

fwiw, MileHi body shop shipped me some small body parts + they were great to deal with. I'm in Canada, so we have SaabDepot, and my local euro pick + pull has a dozen or so c900's, but maybe no verts? also check the classifieds here, as there are tons of c900 part out ads...

If you play it right, the costs should work out fine... it's getting harder to find these cars in good shape + it's a shame for one to get junked over minor repairable cosmetic damage! ask on the c900 bb if you need more info... good luck!
