Two years ago had the same problem as you. Spread out snap traps and glue boards (don't fold them up - just lay them flat - but be careful not to step on them - the glue is amazingly sticky.)
The glue traps eventually caught the whole family of them over a two week period. Never caught a single one in a snap trap - mice are too smart for those.
The cruel part of the task was that I would discard the glue traps - with live/stuck/wriggling little mouse attached - inside a sealed cookie tin, place the tin inside a plastic bag - and discard it in the household garbage.
I suppose the humane thing to do would be to take the thing outside and release it - but I didn't want to touch the mice in order to free them from the glue board - not sure I even could without ripping the fur off of those little guys.
Nor could I bring myself to quickly kill the things and put them out of their misery. So they sadly met their fates inside dark sealed cookie tins where they either suffocated or starved to death on their way to the landfill somewhere.
Honestly still bothers me - a cruel way for the mice to die - but I too have little kids - and my instinct to protect them outweighed any concern I had about the mice's well being.
Good luck and good hunting.
