A properly maintained lawn will require mowing twice per week when growing well and once per week if stunted by temperatures or lack of water. If you can only do the job once every two weeks yourself then that is a sign you should hire out the job to someone who can do it at least weekly.

Maybe an ambitious neighborhood kid? I know these are far and few between these days but a kid in our neighborhood has a miniature landscaper's trailer that pulls behind him as he walks like a child's wagon and he has a route of lawn mowing customers he services.
