Stent in the right corornary artery 4/12/01. Didn't feel well one morning, recalled my older friend's story of his heart attack symptoms, had the same and drove myself (92 C900S, Citrin Beige 5sp 200k miles)to the e-room at the local hospital and said "I think I'm having a heart attack". They looked out the window and said " You have a SAAB, but we will take care of you anyway" and shoved everyone else out of the way and dealt with me.
One hour and one stent later, I learned not to have a heart attack on Holy Thursday when Passover overlaps Easter; no doctors were working that long weekend except the vampires and aethiests. Most of whom I met. They kept me in the hospital for four days. Why are there only 12 channels on hospital TV? Four of which are CNN and none of them are the Speed Channel?
Then all the doctors came back on Monday to deal with the paperwork for me. Otherwise I would have been sent home the same day I came in. Lawyers and such. Right coronary artery, plugged up like a 250,000 mile Bosch fuel filter on a green ands white VW Beetle taxi that only saw Pemex 24 Octane gas in Mexico City during their worst dust storms.
For you youngun's, (35 or more and 250 lbs or more, male or female) stop eating 1200 calorie Bloomin' Onions, 360 calorie Cokes and 1800 calorie bacon cheeseburgers. Run somewhere farther than the bathroom, and do it often, even if you didn't eat all that stuff. Eat something green other than the stars in Lucky Charms.
No matter what your age, it's easier to be in shape than to get in shape, especially as you get older. Eventually you will realize that youth is wasted on the young. And if you think this is funny, I'm talkin' to you. And I was in fair shape when I had mine.
And get your cholesterol checked.
John Meyers, stay healthy, we need you. I still have not solved my intermittent no start problem after replacing my CPS.
My work is done here.
