On a track day with fresh DOT 4 fluid throughout the system I have essentially "boiled" the fluid after about 75 laps of a 1.6 mile course.
No, I'm not riding the brakes, but using them late and hard from speeds up to about 100 mph. It wasn't until the last couple laps that it happened when I was running faster than earlier in the day. Now I use a fluid with a higher boiling temp on the track, but as a pal with an M3 has found, that stuff can still get too hot.
For street use the fluid in the bottle, if tightly capped, should be OK if it's under a year old. I remember someone here saying they put marbles in the partial bottle of brake fluid to help displace air (and moisture). He used enough marbles to have the fluid come right to the top. Sounds silly, but it probably does work to some degree.
