"...just want her to go away, preferably to a farm where she can run, and jump and play with other cats in the sunshine."
Sounds real nice, unfortunately it's time for a reality check.
This cat has been a house cat. It's used to being fed and kept warm & safe. Most farms already have 1 or more mouser/barn cats. Those established farm cats will protect their turf. In other words, ex-house kitty will have to fight for the right to stick around. You can guess how that will turn out. And if house kitty has been de-clawed, it will be a very short fight.
This is a sad situation and probably not the owner's fault. Some cats get anxious and start marking in the house. Usually it's a bad habit you cannot break. And often putting the cat down is the sad reality of it. It's hard thing to think about but that's the real world.
If you do go the outdoor/farm route, PLEASE make sure this cat hasn't been declawed, and the farmer will provide basics (water, cat food, shelter).
