Then again, some countries like Germany are revisiting their zeal for so-called 'green' energy. Going 'green' costs a fortune, and evolving technology is making conventional sources of energy cleaner and more available.

Wind, by the way, is only 'green' if you don't live anywhere near a wind farm as I do. Dozens of square miles of lovely mountainsides scarred by huge windmills anchored by enormous concrete blocks -- who's going to dig those 50 ton blocks out eventually?. An annoying humm that resonates at certain windspeeds, dozens of raptors including golden eagles and red tail hawks killed annually, countless smaller birds, etc.
There's nothing 'green' about wind energy unless you're homesteading off the grid and you need it to pump water from your well.
Pseudo-rant over.
