Wind and solar projects are terrible for bears

Wind turbines generate low frequency noise pollution. That is extremely annoying to bears, which rely on hearing to track down animal protein and set up dates with other bears. Not to mention amplitude modulating sound pollution (typified by wind mills) is a major cause for anxiety, heart attacks and psychosis in both human beings and bears.
Solar projects can be viable in deserts. However, with typical tax subsidized solar projects in North America and Europe, the reality on the ground for large solar farms is clear-cutting of forests because that's where cheap land can be found in high latitude temperate zones. Because shadows from trees short out solar sections of panels in power generation, all trees surrounding a solar farm have to be cut too. Cutting forests obviously are bad for bears that count on it as habitat. It's really a sad sight to behold when I was driving through a very rural area in New England, and saw large tracts clear cut with workers installing rows and rows of solar panels on 3 feet tall concrete and metal shelves planted where trees used to be only a few weeks ago.
