About the to-be-repaired car, you have what I know now. I should have cross
examined the service rep for more details but my sense was he was warning
me about keeping our Saab and perhaps playing his part in moving us into a
KIA. I didn't want to argue about Saab parts availability with him as they
are still servicing and repairing Saabs. He did say I couldn't purchase a
bumper skin for the rear bumper where we have a blemish even if I wanted to.
I have emailed a copy of an offer for a free rad for the to-be-repaired
car I got as a result of the OP to the service rep. It would be nice to
help if at all possible.
