I think the guys here are getting a little caught up in the theoretical. The fact that you're flushing your fluid at all is great, and puts you ahead of probably 90% of motorists. Most people recommend starting at the wheel furthest from the master cylinder and working your way to the closest. Use a turkey baster to suck as much as possible out of the MC and refill with clean before you start to minimize the amount you have to bleed through the first caliper. I recommend using clear tubing on the bleed nipple so you can see when you hit clean fluid. I want to say quarter inch ID works, but just buy a couple options since its so cheap to be sure.
A pressure bleeder is fantastic, a bike inner tube with a big hose clamp and pump can also work, or a good old two person operation works fine too (except on the clutch).
Good luck!
