I hadn't done this route since not long after college when my GF lived in Philly and I was in Boston.

But I did it again a couple months back on a trip to Philly and realized how much better it was than dealing with the traffic at the upper end of 95 and the NJ turnpike.

Depends on the time of day, of course, but the GSP is a nicer ride. And with EZPass you don't have slow down for the tolls.

Have also done the TZ and picked up the Palisades Pkway. Also pretty good and the parkway is a nice ride. You just get the traffic coming of the GW bridge and have to deal with the 95 and 80 junctions.
