Self-propelled paving machine. This is probably the best and are what is used for paving roads. They come in range of sizes but even the smallest may be too big for a home driveway.
Spreader Box. These clamp themselves to the back of the dump truck and do the same job as the self-propelled machines. This might be best for a small driveway. I had a contractor use one of these to pave acres of a huge parking lot in St Louis.
Hand Work. Avoid this except for small areas too small for any thing else.
