What. I drove several Panameras at the intro years ago and it is a great car. Not my cup of tea but a great car. The SUV like wise is and excellent car and it they have really really added to Porsche profits. I see loads of Panameras on the road where I live and people love them. Same with the Cayenne. Who cars who drives them? As a manufacturer you just care that they sell.
Porsche does have a wonderful mid engine car as well.
I have an 1973 911 and it is awesome to drive 2180 pounds and an honest 220 HP with a very wide powerband and nice big sticky 205X15 tires in the front and 225X5X15 in the rear. Huge brakes on both ends. Sure it is noisy and the suspension stiff......but it is real driving. You feel everything, and does the rear come around? not if you know how to drive.
