Let's look at it this way - the owner of the car cannot take a car from your lot without paying - regardless the fact that he owns the car. So the same goes for the repo / financing company - they cannot take the car even if they legally own it.

The best part is that even in the worst case all you have to loose is a few minutes on the phone.
