Ugly is a tough one. It's obviously subjective, but I think there's inherent ugliness of design and then implied ugliness that comes with cultural baggage that is hard to set aside from strict appearance or that is just such a bastardization of the intent of the vehicle or brand that it makes you barf in your mouth a little.

I mean I think the Nissan Juke or Cube (or I guess the Honda Fit)are mal-proportioned and not conventionally attractive, but I have to respect that they're a little eccentric and at least interesting. I'll also give broad leeway to anything that's highly functional if not conventionally attractive like old Volvos.

For sheer bloated disgustingness, the Infinity QX56 is pretty terrible, and the big four-door Mini is pretty horrendous too. The Nissan NV200 that's the basis of the NYC 'taxi of tomorrow' is appalling in person too.

But I have to go with the BMW X6M on principle alone. It's hideous and just represents everything that's wrong with conspicuous consumption by purposely taking the worst aspects on a sports coupe, sedan, and SUV, and combining them into a horrible, expensive, swollen, monstrosity that exists just because it can. I try not to judge people by what they drive, but I feel if you pick one of these your intent is surely to give the world the middle finger, and what could be uglier than that.
