welding titanium Posted by Snowmobile [Email] (#686) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Snowmobile) on Mon, 21 Apr 2014 05:16:12 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Admittedly, I haven't tried to google this first, but there are lots of folks with interesting knowledge here, so I thought I would ask...
So a week or so ago, while getting into the 9-5, I couldn't find my glasses and realized I was stepping on them. doh! So I got new ones, but it would be handy to ressurect the old ones to put as a spare in one of the other saabs... the glasses are titanium wire frames and the lenses will pop out, and the break is just where the nose band connects to an eye, and it is a clean break...
so my question: any good way to spot weld (or braze?) that connection? any special considerations for welding/brazing ti? doesn't have to look pretty, just want it solid!
thanks!
