It's a flat fee per vehicle - $90/y. Ontario, Canada. I am not aware of any historic plating options, but I really like that "expanded use" antique plate option! I wish there was a viable cheap insurance option for that also...
I have been wrestling with the best approach for a couple years now. We have a year round 9-5 and 2 c900's. One gets winter duty, the nice one gets summer. Right now all 3 are registered and insured and on the road (just got the winter tires off a week and a half ago!)... but we don't need 3 on the road all the time... but leaving one off the road tends to result in brake work that is more expensive than keeping it on the road!
So, for me, the jury is still out on the best approach... I think a car benefits from at least a good hard drive once a month... maybe 2x a month... just turning it on in the garage, not so much (may actually be bad for it)... the concept of being able to only drive 1 month of the year (unlimited miles?) is very odd.
