They work fine as a replacement to the coolant bypass valve and look to be of good quality. That said, I wouldn't figure the difference between $60 and $17 matters as much as my time. Generally as a rule, if OEM is available and not stratospherically priced, I buy OEM.
Even trivial parts can be a pita in that regard. Iirc, Anders pointed out that the cheap green rollers (window) are not so durable and better to get ones from SAAB or Volvo, even if it means spending $20 rather than $7 or whatever. $13 of my time does not go very far! I certainly could not swap those rollers in that amount of time!
