New hardware or new OS installation?
If only hardware, try booting the [a clone of] the system drive on the new server. You may need to authenticate with MS. Have drivers for old hardware. If data is on a raid on a MB chip, you may not be able to move the drive set to the new server. If you have a Raid card, move the card and drives as a set.
There are some provisions in servers to move server settings, but I have not had to use that.
There are backup systems that have bare metal restore features, restore a system to different hardware. Manages drivers etc.
I have been building Supermicro servers, very cost and performance effective. Just build a 8 drive system with 6 SATA and 8 LSI SAS ports [Raid 0,1,10] on the MB, very cost effective. For our office, 13 drives in a 16 bay system with a 16 port LSI SATA raid card.
