on my 1986 9000 the fuel pump was still good at 240k miles when the car was wrecked. I recall though the car maybe had 2 pumps ?

But my 1999 9-5 the fuel pump died at 115k or so.

So with the 2004 9-5 - the pump gets changed somewhere around 110k. Too much of a pia to get stranded . And I am as about as cheap as they come about replacing stuff.
