The only use I'd have for it would be for pulling, boat, jet ski, a Saab when its broke down. The price of the 250 is about the same as the 150 except the 250 has a butt load more power and I'm sure I could drop it off a cliff and it would survive with no real ill effect done to it.
I had a good buddy that owned a diesel. The truck sat all winter and a good portion of the summer, less than a year and had so much allergy growth it ruined everything fuel related. He was quoted 5000 to fix everything. They wanted to pull the tanks, replace the fuel lines, fuel pump... He ended up selling for way under value. I'd love to get the 250 but it would do lots of sitting, bummer to because I was about to .. Pull the trigger on the 250 posted until I sat back and thought about it.
Buddy said he dumped all kinds of additives in his tanks. But I think it was after the allergy was there. He lived up in Vermont had it parked outside over grass never started it for the duration. Maybe he had the perfect storm for excess allergy growth, it really doesn't sound to appealing to go get a diesel that you know will be sitting for long intervals.
