Not necessarily a contractor, I'd rather just hire the guy, in this case a siding/painting professional to do the job directly. I know it's the middle of busy season for home improvement, but it's been a huge pain in the butt trying to get these guys up to my house. Do I need to stand on the curb at Homedepot with a fist full of dollars to get their attention? I'm just amazed at how many ignore my phone calls and Emails offering them a 5 digit $$$ job! I am pretty talented with home projects but this job is just too big and I want it done this year. I certainly know what I'll be doing when it's time to stop punching the clock and the long commute. Do you think my 9-5 wagon will fit all the tools needed? Seriously anyone have tips for hiring/finding a good contractor other than friends, relatives, recommendations? BTW, two of those recommendations were two that never called back or failed to communicate.
