Well, first of all, beautiful cars!
Secondly, my dad always said, "A car is worth exactly as much as ONE person is willing to spend on it." If you think your Viggen is a $10K car, then hold on to it until someone else thinks its worth $10K. If you have no buyer, then you have to either wait, or lower the price until you do have a buyer.
The additions you've made to the Viggen seem to be desirable (with the exception of the cosmetic changes... those are subjective), but you'll never get your money back from a subframe brace. Putting brand new tires on a car before you sell it does not increase the value of the car by the cost of the tires, and neither does any other mechanical addition/"upgrade".
Finally, about the Sonett, I have a hard time reconciling the statement "totally original" with "when it was silver" and "after is was painted baja red." I'm not saying that a proper paint job can't enhance a car's condition, but it certainly never leaves it original. I'd say the same thing if the color wasn't even changed.
I just sold a very nice 9-5 Aero wagon. I thought it was worth $6K+/-. I finally found someone who thought it was worth $5.5K. I was okay with that. I guess the real question is: How patient are you? -or- How patient can you be?
Cheers,
~Peter
